Abstract from Compression Design Nightsleeve Clinical Study:
Efficacy Demonstrated with the Compression Design NightSleeve™ and Treatment Methodology Following Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) for Patients Suffering from Lymphedema
Lymphedema, the swelling of limbs due to a build up of lymph fluid caused by a breakdown of the lymph system, plagues many people, particularly those who have undergone surgery and/or radiation treatment for cancer. This permanent, dangerous, and potentially debilitating condition requires treatment in order to keep the swelling under control and reduce the risk of infection. Complete Decongestive Therapy followed by a second phase of treatment is recommended by most lymphedema professionals. This study shows nominal to significant decreases in arm size measurements for patients using the Compression Design NightSleeve™ and treatment methodology during the second phase of treatment.
