History

Compression Design, LLC was formed to meet the need for a more comfortable method of night time compression therapy due to a lack of compliance, for individuals in the second phase of lymphedema therapy. Lack of compliance is caused by discomfort associated with night time garments including wrapping which cause patients to have sleepless nights.

Beginning with the inspiration of a lymphedema patient (see Ellen's Story), Compression Design, LLC embarked on research and development. Not simply to create a product, but to establish a relationship by which the quality of our customers' lives may be improved. By working closely with patients, hospitals, clinics and rehabilitation centers, the Lymphedema NightSleeve™ was developed as the result of testing and patient/therapist feedback. This work resulted in a clinical case study.

Comfort, ease of use, and effective results make our NightSleeve™ unique, but the ongoing relationship with patients and providers are equally important to us. We seek to take part in the educational advancement for the patient, their provider and the lymphedema community in general. We believe that by focusing on the improved quality of the patient's life, our own goals as a company will be met.

Compression Design acquired the popular MedAssist product line in February, 2005. This has proved to be an excellent addition to the product line, providing the opportunity to offer a higher compression garment (25 – 40mmHg).

Today, Compression Design is working on the next generation of Lymphedema products using the latest materials and technology available. Continue to expect great things as we move forward together to help those who live with Lymphedema!
